Score Formula

Your total score is calculated as follows:

• Government universities (SAT 1 ≥ 1090): (SAT 1 ÷ 1600 × 69) + (SAT 2 ÷ 1600 × 15) + GPA
• Private universities (SAT 1 ≥ 1090): (SAT 1 ÷ 1600 × 75) + (SAT 2 ÷ 1600 × 15) + GPA
• All types (SAT 1 < 1090): (SAT 1 ÷ 1600 × 60) + (SAT 2 ÷ 1600 × 15) + GPA

Example (government university, SAT 1: 1200, SAT 2: 1400, GPA: 3.5):
(1200 ÷ 1600 × 69) + (1400 ÷ 1600 × 15) + 3.5 = 51.75 + 13.13 + 3.5 = 68.38

Rules by University Type

The following rules apply to each institution type. In all cases, the GPA contributes up to 40 points, and a SAT 2 score below the required minimum is treated as zero.

• Government universities: Minimum SAT 1 of 1050 required. SAT 2 is included only if the SAT 2 score itself is at least 1100. Scoring above 1090 in the first test gives a 9% bonus on the exam multiplier.
• Private universities: No minimum SAT 1 required. SAT 2 is included only if the SAT 2 score itself is at least 900. Scoring above 1090 in the first test gives a 15% bonus on the exam multiplier. Eligible universities are not displayed.
• Higher institutes: Minimum SAT 1 of 890 required. SAT 2 is included only if the SAT 2 score itself is at least 900. The exam multiplier follows the same calculation as government universities. Only the total score is shown; eligible institutions are not listed.
